Installing Awetobot Packages

Before proceeding, ensure the Debian installation is prepared.

Failing to update may result in failed installation, loss of connectivity,function, data, and other adverse effects.

Open this page on the Debian/Awetobot browser to quickly copy the commands

  1. Launch Terminal

  2. At the default directory, ensure elevated rights to superuser by running command,:

    su

  3. Enter Debian machine password (if asked)

  4. Run command: (alternatively, copy the below code snippet and paste it to the Debian terminal)

    wget -O - https://install-awetobot.awetonet.io | bash
  5. Debian will begin installing Awetobot packages InstallSplash

  6. Once complete, Awetobot will restart on its own

  7. After the restart, the browser will automatically launch with the Pairing Code screen Installing Bot2

  8. At this point, the Awetobot will be doing a port scan check before allowing users to key in the Pairing Code

    note

    If you notice the Pairing Code field is disabled , this is due to certain ports being inaccessible by the Awetobot on the internet interface. Ensure the outgoing ports reported by the error message are allowed on the internet access from the Awetobot. To verify if the outgoing ports are accessible, simply refresh the page of the Awetobot.

  9. After the port scan check is complete and outgoing ports are deemed accessible, the Pairing Code input field will be enabled.

  1. Awetobot has completed installation. Next is pairing the Awetobot to a Site
