Overview: Organization
Organization
In Awetonet.io. licenses are owned by Organizations. Organizations allows for ease of management for users and sites.
- Each account/email can be the superadmin/owner of one(1) Organization
- Each account/email can be a member or a guest of many Organizations
Organizations can be created in Awetonet.io for every user, however, this step is optional.
Creating an Organization
Typically, organizations should be created by someone with the ability to prove ownership of purchased licenses; e.g. CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, Directors, VPs, etc
Licenses assigned from Awetonet.io to users will be based on the email address of the Organization Owner.
In the below example, we have an MSP who intends to use Awetonet.io to manage all their remote customer sites as part of their contractual obligation:
MSP/SI Profile
- Company Name: Super Duper IT Services Limited
- Director: John Smith
In this scenario, John Smith will create an account with Awetonet.io, and immediately creates an Organization (when presented with the below option).
John Smith then invites any employee(manager) as an Administrator(Role) Member of the Organization. This member will assume the Administrator Role (Default Role with all permissions) to help John Smith in managing the day to day operations. Alternatively, John Smith can also perform all of these actions as well.
For example:
- Adding/Deleting Members
- Adding/Deleting New Sites
- Approving Requests
- Extracting Reports
Super Duper IT Services Limited manages different verticals, like Hotels and Enterprise.
For administrative and contractual purposes, Super Duper IT can group these hotels or offices based on their chains or company.
